NAPM-SFV will host our tenth annual Supplier Night and trade show to support our Scholarship Program. One goal of Supplier Night is to offer members and guest an opportunity to network with 50 - 100 top local suppliers. The event will be held, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm at the The Odyssey Restaurant, 15600 Odyssey Dr, Granada Hills, CA. Suppliers will display their products or services and network with members and guests who are professional buyers and supply chain professionals. Dinner will be provided and there are fabulous door prizes, all for just $10! Yes, that's right $10!!

This event provides attendees the opportunity to meet with many suppliers and gain industry knowledge, competitive advantage, new ideas, and new sources of materials and services.

What about your key Suppliers? We need your help! Please ask your key Suppliers to attend this event. It will give them an opportunity to network with Supply Chain and Supplier Management professionals from various companies.

Every year this event helps sponsor our scholarship fund so we can help send a deserving student to college.

2010 NAPM-SFV SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

Each year NAPM-San Fernando Valley offers a $500 - $1,000 scholarship to a deserving high school student who enrolls in college in a business discipline. To compete for this scholarship the student must provide a transcript of their high school grades, two recommendations and write a short essay containing insight concerning goals and achievements which qualify them to receive this money.

Several high schools in the valley have been contacted to assist in finding a deserving recipient. Member’s friends, children and grandchildren are welcome to apply. Contact Elaine Whittington at ewhitt2@verizon.net or 818-352-4995 to obtain the appropriate forms. All material will be due back by April 15, 2010. Additionally, some funds are used to support NAPM-SFV members who pass the ISM professional certification tests.
